Style-Arc Besharl T-shirt

I have a very short post.

I have not been sewing a lot. I DID sew up a few diamonds together for the patchwork robe... but that is slow going.

I have wanted to try my hand at a Style Arc pattern for a while (Australian pattern company with a vast collection of patterns with a fairly poor reputation in the 'instructions' department).

I chose this t-shirt when someone posted about it on Pattern Review. I like the way the seams angle towards th front. I have been wanting to use up some of my larger knit offcuts, so that was the project.

The front is a cotton jersey* (not thin), remaining from some gray I bought to make leggings. It is nearly the same colour as a previously made t-shirt (which I have recently altered to make it more wearable for me.)

The back is some technical fabric (like dry-fit?) that I bouth at Discovery Fabric during my year of travels. It is VERY light weight. The stripe in the back is a piece left from the bamboo jersey* with which I made a dress, and also a long sleeved tee and some undies. The oombination of weights makes some of the seams a bit 'bouncy'.

*partial disclosure - I just call it jersey because I don't really know the difference between jersey and interlock....!)

I like the style. I had to shorten it significantly, both for style preference, but also fabric availability!

It is also a bit large across the shoulders.

And of course I do not yet have any photos of me wearing it.

However, here it is on my dress form.

I DO plan to make it again.

March break next week. I am going to do a 'sewing retreat'. Going to travel to visit a friend (the friend who lived in Ghana), and we are going to sew some of our Ghana stash.

I am reworking the Lekala vest pattern as a sleeveless blouse. Had to raise the front, and the armholes. A friend lent me a pattern that I considered, but in the end decided to stick with this plan. The muslin looks like a good fit, and I hope to finish it during our 'retreat.'
