I have been engaged in very slow sewing.... no real reason, just hesitating at each step and wanting to get it right!
I bought this amazing cashmere suiting on my last fabric pilgramage to Montreal (Jan 2025). It is amazingly beautiful to touch. I wanted to do it justice.
I like the slim silhouette of my Azuki pants, so decided to use them, even though a more traditional cut might have seemed more appropriate.
I did not want work-pants, though, so I made a couple of changes:
- no cargo pocket or adjuster strap on the back;
- no knee pleat;
- combined back pieces into one (so no back seam at the lower leg);
- added welt pockets on the back (which I have no intentions of using...
- HK binding on Centre back seam, and on the waistband facing.

In other sewing, also not much progress.

| quilted robe sleeve |
I DID cut the two sleeves for my quilted pieced robe, and cut out a few more diamonds to continue the work. Still a lot to do on that, though, piecing enough to fit the fronts and the back!
